The Institute of Space Sciences, ICE (IEEC-CSIC) is dedicated to research in astrophysics, with a diverse range of scientific areas of investigation and an advanced engineering unit.
The scientific research groups are placed in the following departments:
- Cosmology and Fundamental Physics
- Astrophysics and Planetary Science
They cover topics which range from the astronomy of gravitational waves to high-energy gamma ray astronomy, Earth observation, the Solar System and other planets, among others.
The ICE articulates the support given by the CSIC to the IEEC.
