New aluminization of the mirror of the Joan Oró telescope
During last June, the astronomers and technical staff of the Montsec Astronomical Observatory (OAdM) carried out the dismantling of the primary mirror of the Joan Oró telescope.

How to build a Nanosat
The workshop will begin with a presentation on nanosatellite technology followed by a hands-on workshop in which groups of 4-5 people will work on the construction of a full-scale small satellite model.

First polarimetric GNSS radio-occultation, obtained aboard the PAZ satellite around 20:36 May 10, 2018. Signal-to-noise ratio in arbitrary units from both polarimetric ports of the antenna are shown in purple and green, cyan color is used for the polarimetric phase-shift, in degrees. The ICCUB-IEEC delivers to University of Tokyo 10,000 purpose-designed integrated circuits for the Cherenkov Telescope Array
The chips, 10,000 Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), are one of the main components of the cameras to be installed in the Large Size Telescopes that will be built in La Palma.

Today ICE-CSIC/IEEC receive the first data of the experiment aboard the PAZ satellite
The experiment led by ICE-CSIC/IEEC aboard the PAZ satellite, called Radio-Occultation and Heavy Precipitation with PAZ (ROHP-PAZ) was activated on April 4, 2018. Today the ICE/CSIC-IEEC received the first data sets!

LISA mission passes review successfully and begins next stage of development
Before an ESA mission reaches the launch pad, it has to go through a number of approval procedures that ensure the mission´s readiness. The future space-based gravitational wave observatory, the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA), has recently passed its Mission Definition Review (MDR) with flying colours.
